WHAT WE VALUE
Worship - We value the worship of God as His ultimate desire
for all people not as an act, but as a lifestyle. We seek to experience
worship personally on a daily basis and weekly through a local church, understanding
the priority of the teaching and preaching of God's Word as relevant to
the worship experience.
Family - We value family at whatever stage you may be
in your life, believing that God has called us to provide your family with
the needed life skills that will result in successful family living. We
value preschoolers, children, and teenagers in every way because we want
to join God in raising up the next generation that will have the power
to change the world.
Unity - Ephesians 4:3 instructs us to "endeavor or
work to keep unity." We desire to be people of humility and kindness,
who do not allow offenses to take root in us. We desire to believe the
best about our brothers and sisters, not to gossip or talk negatively about
others. This is very important for the good of each member and the health
of Calvary Church as a whole.
Excellence - Because we serve an awesome God, we strive
to do our best in everything we do. This means that we show excellence
in our areas of service. If we served a mediocre God, then we could do
things in a mediocre way“—but our God is never mediocre!” We
desire to do all of our work "as unto the Lord."
You and Your Journey - We value who you are as God sees
you. We want to assist you to be all God wants you to be in your life.
We value the journey that we are on together; a journey of becoming like
Jesus Christ, understanding that this challenge is only possible as we
deepen our walk with Him. To do this, we need to learn all we can about
Jesus from His Word and from other people, so we will be skilled in living
life God's way.
